Dr. Bo Zhang is a Sr. Director of Hardware Engineering at Intel Corporation, growing and leading the Visual and Parallel Computing Group (VPG) in San Diego to design and develop cutting-edge discrete & integrated GPUs with 21+ years successful track record of setting strategies, leading development organizations, and ensuring delivery of innovative GPUs. Prior to Intel Dr. Zhang was a Director of Engineering in Qualcomm Technologies spending almost 12 years creating top-notch GPU simulators to verify 5 generations of Adreno GPUs and leading other two teams on pre-si driver development and post-si debugging. Before Qualcomm Dr. Zhang worked in different companies such as S3 Graphics for 3 years, VIA Technologies for 3 years, and Trident Microsystems for 4 years. Dr. Zhang finished his post-doc in Institute of Computing Technology under Chinese Academy of Sciences and he holds a Ph.D degree on Computer Science focusing on distributed computing from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China.
